Short history of the universe - A Dream

Short history of the universe

I went to sleep after a meditation where I purposely directed my thought in a certain direction. I meditated until I lost count, then when I got to that point, I injected the question:

Tell me how we came to be as we are now?

I went through those doors, slept, went where the conscience finally has a chance to sit one out.

I was then in an orbiting vessel, lots of big glass windows to look down at our earth

The alien was Exedore of the Zentraedi from Robotech, in the series he lived a long time because his spine was damaged and he couldn't do the one job available, war. he became valuable for having been around so long, and being able to remember. It didn't have to be him though, in the dream he plays the role of the tour guide, the narrator.

He told the history while I watced videos projected into my mind as if I was there, except edited. I could see the war from 'before'. there was a universe teeming with life 'before'. Before the last time all life was extinguisitd.

There were a few major races, yes some had the human configuration, but what difference?

They raced as fast as they could into technology, every race was threatened, it was dominate or perish. Weapons of war to tear open the fabric of reality.

The most tech savvy race, their name lost to history, created a planet sized robot being; a storehouse of all their learning, and they loaded it with all the samples of their discoveries. Only it would remember their name.

A Robot planet, sentient, more so than most of the organic life at the time. Jvh1 could learn, do its own research, and live essentially forever off of resources it could gather anywhere it chose to go.

There were laboratories inside it's self, it had probes it sent out to the distant specks to see what they were. It had armies of non thinking drones that kept it maintained.

It was the pinnacle of technology at the time of the last war, and it was the only thing that survived it.

Time passed. And passed. It floated out there, occupied with research and exploration for a time that we organic types wouldn't want to consider.

No one was alive in the known universe, and no evidence yet found of a multiverse.

Eventually, it made up it's mind that it should repopulate space, to the degree that it even felt responsibility for the task, a sort of patriotic sense of duty where the state is life itself.

Inside its labs it worked on two main projects. the first was a spore of life that could be placed on almost any planet and adapt. The second was a pre-designed race of hive minded creatures to take the spores to the distant reaches; these did not have the opportunity to adapt. We are a result of the first, the commonly reported 'communion' style aliens are of the second type.

In all of this was also a side experiment, to create perfect, or maybe to some 'holy' individual samples of life.

After some time the numbers started to come in, some planets never created a single holy being. We earth dwellers are lucky that our fertile planet created some 27 of these beings early in its existence. Because of this, the buzzing bees that were of the 2nd type previously mentioned were assigned to watch here for more, and even though we don't seem as promising now as we once did, this project has been given the 'green light' to continue.

Which is why we haven't been left to fall into the sun and we continue to survive today, the cartoon alien tells me.
